Elvis Chapel

A photographer friend and I snuck out to the Superstition Mountains one night to take some night sky pics. I, of course, forgot my tripod, but was able to snap this photo of the Elvis Chapel by wedging a folded up umbrella under my camera on the roof of her car. I love the light bursts and the shadowy mountains in the background.

California Wild Grasses

I keep coming back to this photo again and again. The movement and wildness get me every time. This was taken in California during the "superbloom" of wildflowers in 2017.

Dream

This is an extreme close up of the DREAM sculpture in Downtown Arlington, TX. I have this matted in white and framed in my living room. One of my favorites!

Snowy Reno

One day in April, the sky lowered and snow started falling in the mountains. My daughter and I drove down a dead end street and hiked up a dirt hill to get a better view. What we saw took our breath away. Who knew Reno was so beautiful?

Light Peeking Through Citrus

I love how the light peeks through at the end of the day. I've taken a ton of photos in this citrus grove, but this might be my favorite.

Beyond What We Can See

As I edited this photo from darkness to brilliance, my heart leapt and my breath caught in my throat. I didn't add any colors here, they were all right there in front of me, I just couldn't see them with my naked eye.

Desert Wildflowers

I took this while on a hike on Lost Dog Wash Trail in Scottsdale, Arizona. March is my favorite time in Arizona because the brown desert BURSTS into bloom.

Looking Up

This photo was taken in Dana Point, California (the rockiest, craziest beach I've ever been to). My feet were battered, but my heart was full as I looked up and watched these palms blowing in the wind.

California Dreamin'

The beach is my happy place. I took this photo as I looked back one more time at Dana Point, knowing it would be a long time before I saw the ocean again.

Warm Montana Night

I love the warmth of this photo as the moon sets behind the mountains. You can see a shooting star on the upper left corner. Right after I took this shot, I heard a scary noise and ran for my life. A few weeks later, a bear was spotted here.

Trail of the Cedars

Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. This was taken on a morning hike through the Trail of the Cedars. I was nervous the entire time, completely convinced that a bear would jump out and attack me at any moment!

Winter Rain

There's something so cozy about this photo...it reminds me of being warm and safe when the world outside is cold and dreary.

Crashing Waves

This is an iphone pic. I couldn't believe the detail my phone was able to capture! I used burst mode and stood on a bridge over the water in Avila Beach, California. The sparkles and sun rays at the top are my favorite part.

I had fun playing around with the light and texture of this photo. This was taken in Sedona, Arizona on a family hike.

By the Light of the Moon

No flash used here, this light is all from the moon! A gorgeous Montana Sky from the summer of 2015.

I caught this little guy when I was shooting a wedding in Arizona. I like to think he's smiling at me :)
